1. (a) How can you define business communication?
(b) What are the different stages of human communication process?
Explain with diagram.
(c) Explain the importance of communication to you as a student of
computer science and to business.

2. (a) How “Your view point” influences to build goodwill?
(b) Discuss the comment: long, involved sentences tend to be difficult to
understand. Therefore the shorter the sentences, the better.
(c) Why adaptation is necessary for selecting words in communication?

3. (a) What do you understand by solicited and unsolicited job
applications?
(b) Explain the four major techniques for emphasis in writing.
(c) Usually bad news messages are written in the indirect order. Why
should claims be exception?

4. (a) What is a business report? Mention the different parts of long formal
report.
(b) You were instructed to write a report on “Ekushey Book Fair” by
your Managing Director if the report is 10 pages what will be the
“title flies”, “title page”, “table of contents” of that report (don’t
have to write the report).

5. Suppose, you have successfully completed your Computer Science
Program with a good CGPA and now intend to send an unsolicited
Application to a software company seeking the position of a
software programmer. Draft this application together with your bio
-data to be enclosed with this application.

6. (a) How Oral and Written communication differ? Give some example
of oral and written communication.
(b) What are the essential qualities of a good report?
(c) What are the problems in writing letter reports?

7. (a) Describe the four major differences involved in writing short and
long report.
(b) Briefly discuss relative merits and demerits of medium of
communication network.
